Synchronous Chip Sealers

How Chip Seal Machines Work

Chip seal machines are used for asphalt pavement surface treatment and preventive maintenance. Fiber-reinforced chip sealing is an improved method based on conventional chip seal technology. Using dedicated equipment, the system applies two layers of asphalt binder, a lower layer and an upper layer, with a fiber reinforcement layer in between, then immediately spreads a layer of aggregate chips.

After initial compaction with a pneumatic-tire roller and further traffic compaction, the treated surface forms a durable wearing course or a stress-absorbing interlayer. This process is suitable for preventive maintenance, medium pavement repair, underseal layers for roads of different grades, bridge deck waterproofing layers, and surface courses for lower-grade roads.
