As asphalt pavement ages, localized defects such as potholes, alligator cracking, shoving, raveling, and settlement often require timely repair. To help road maintenance crews respond quickly and keep traffic moving safely, Metong provides the hot box asphalt patch truck, an asphalt road maintenance truck equipped with an insulated hot mix storage box.
The hot box asphalt patch truck is designed for quick response, efficient repair, and faster jobsite clearance. It is mainly used for pothole repair, alligator cracking repair, settlement repair, mud-pumping repair, and other localized pavement maintenance work.

This hot box asphalt patch truck is suitable for early-stage pavement distress repair on highways, major roads, and municipal streets. A typical repair process includes:
- Cut or break out the damaged pavement area
- Remove loose material and clean the repair area
- Apply tack coat
- Fill the repair area with hot mix asphalt
- Compact the repaired section
- Complete the repair and reopen the work area
- Hot mix asphalt supply
The hot box asphalt patch truck uses asphalt mixture from an asphalt mixing plant, helping maintain proper aggregate gradation and asphalt-to-aggregate ratio. - Insulated storage and transport
The insulated storage box maintain hot mix asphalt at working temperature during transport and operation, with a temperature drop of ≤10°C/h. - Tack coat spraying
Equipped with a hot asphalt tank for tack coat spraying, helping improve bonding during pavement repair. - Optional auxiliary tools
Supported multiple auxiliary tools configuration for pothole and localized pavement repair. Hydraulic and electrical power interfaces are available for jobsite operation.
