Bitumen Emulsion Plant
Metong bitumen emulsion plant is designed to produce conventional bitumen emulsion and SBR-modified bitumen emulsion.
The bitumen emulsion plant is equipped with a 5 m³ base bitumen tank, two 2.3 m³ emulsion preparation tanks, and a 1.5 m³ finished emulsion buffer tank. It also includes a variable-frequency base bitumen pump, emulsion pump, regulating valve, flowmeter, emulsifier, finished emulsion transfer pump, electrical control cabinet, filters, valves, and piping system.
The large-capacity base bitumen tank is built with internal thermal oil heating coils, aluminum silicate insulation, and stainless steel cladding. This design supports fast heating and effective heat retention, helping maintain stable finished emulsion quality during continuous operation.

High-temperature bitumen and emulsifier solution are pumped into the high-speed emulsifier chamber. Under intensive shearing, the hot bitumen is broken into fine particles. The emulsifier molecules then surround the bitumen particles, forming a finished oil-in-water bitumen emulsion.
